No matter how good your relationship is, when you combine business with a partner it’s not always easy to maintain a positive relationship momentum. Things may have started out great. The beginning of any project is full of energy and enthusiasm. Working hard doesn’t feel like an effort.

2. Quarantine Your Personal Together Time
When you’re in business together there’s the risk that business is all you ever talk about. To keep the momentum building in your relationship, you need to set aside personal together time.
Do things that are fun and quite separate from your business. Have date nights, weekends away and plan some special vacations.
3. Make Sure Your Business Calls to Your Hearts
Your business needs to be more than just about making money. To be successful and prevent burnout you need to believe in your product.
You also need to be in complete agreement about the vision of your business, your goals and what success means to you. You and your partner need to be working together on shared values, or you’ll be working against each other all the time.
4. Stay on the Same Page
The two principals in your business (you and your partner) need to be on the same page when it comes to strategizing. Using a planner might seem an obvious technique but you need to be planning your business together. You both need to know what’s happening when and to have agreed on the milestones for your projects and your business as a whole.
Planning, sharing information and checking in regularly on progress will ensure you stay focused on meeting your goals and building momentum.
